BAILIEBOROUGH COMMUNITY SCHOOL PARENT ASSOCIATION PRESENTS:
HOW TO BUILD RESILIENCE IN OUR TEENAGERS
WITH GUEST SPEAKER RICHARD HOGAN
DATE: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 5th 2022
TIME: 8.00PM
VENUE: GENERAL AREA OF BAILIEBOROUGH
COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Richard Hogan writes for the Irish Examiner and is the clinical director of Dublin’s Therapy Institute.
He is a Fulbright scholar and has worked with adolescents for over 20 years.
His talk on resilience promotes adolescent empowerment. Richard believes that resilience is taught to children and anxiety has its roots in a child’s belief that they do not have the competency to manage the ups and downs of life.
His talk breaks-down complicated theory into accessible bite sizes for parents to understand. Being the father of 3 girls, his approach is practical and parents will learn many interesting new tools to help them equip their children with the skills they need to feel able to meet the demands of the modern world.
