Third year students reach the Ulster Mace Debate final!!

Congratulation to all our BCS students who competes in the Ulster Mace Debate in Queen’s University Belfast on the 25/01/20 

In total BCS was well represented by 12 excellent debating students. BCS performed extremely well on the day with two teams qualifying for the Ulster final. 

Congratulations to Luke, Shane, Meghan and Grace who made it to the final  They were unfortunately beaten by Campbell College Belfast. Luke  Delaney was awarded best speaker in the Ulster Final.

Three of our students qualified for the National Mace Final in March. Katie Blackburn was ranked 9th best speaker whilst Meghan Gavins and Grace Gormley came joint sixth best speakers in Ulster.

This was an excellent learning opportunity for all those involved as the standard was very high. A good day was had by all.
