TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER
Dear Sixth Year Student, Dear Parent/Guardian of a Sixth Year Student,
The County GAA Health & Wellbeing Committee in partnership with the HSE is organising Stronger Programme meetings presented by Clinical Psychologist Dr. Paul Gaffney during March and April 2022.
The aim of the project is to develop a resource to help the young people in our communities, to help recognising changing behaviours particularly in young people from a mental health viewpoint and identify people in difficulty, to help improve quality of life and in some cases to avert potential tragedy by early intervention and direction to appropriate professional help.
The committee believes that people coming together and supporting each other makes them stronger. The GAA is using the phrase ‘Together we are Stronger’ to promote the campaign. A Stronger Programme video can be viewed on the Cavan GAA YouTube channel.
The meetings are open to all sixth year students and their parents/guardians. You are asked to attend one meeting only, ideally in your local area. However you may register and attend an alternate date or venue if necessary.
